Just Blazed

The Vatreni of Croatia (Blazers for those of you who don't understand Croatian) are the party guests you're never sure if you should invite. Sure, they show up dressed to be your tablecloth, but they're out to ruin the party. Just look at the opening game of the World Cup in Brazil. This is Brazil's Cup. Sure, their stadium isn't entirely finished. Sure the lights went out in more ways than one. Sure Brazil was losing, but a Brazilian scored the first goal. Unfortunately for Marcelo, he score in the wrong goal. And with that, Croatia lead 1-0. The air went out of the stadium until Neymar scored a game tying goal. The second half saw the party crashers crashing out. Unfortunately for Referee Yuichi Nishimura who doesn't get to see the split second still image of Fred, yes just Fred, falling over for Brazil. This lead to a penalty kick that Neymar converted. That's two for the young man. In the closing moments Oscar scored a third goal for Brazil, and somewhere a topless Cristiano Ronaldo ran around flexing for whoever would look his way. Just like that, Brazil have three points and are favorites to win the whole thing. Don't fool yourselves, they didn't play like World Champions today, but you the players, sure did.

In all honesty what happened today was straight up hating. When your coach is Niko Kovac, the most handsome man at the tournament, you can't help but get a few calls going against you. Just look at this smile. The nation of Brazil cannot afford to see this smile.

Before going on to the points, a note must be made. Scriptor has been issued a yellow card for unsportsmanlike conduct. Musicus, Praeceptor, and Ferrarius have also been given yellow cards for failure to meet deadlines. Another yellow card means you miss the next match: Your pick doesn't count. For that reason, avoid making egregious mistakes.
