On the World Cup stage, Costa Rica are minnows. While Uruguay may not be a great white shark, they are at the least a barracuda. A lesson to learn here at the World Cup is that the gift of a penalty kick is one you must convert. It shouldn't be the only way you score goals. Just yesterday Spain took a 1-0 lead against Netherlands via a PK, but then failed to score a goal from play going down 1-5. And so, Uruguay converted a PK thanks to Edinson Cavani. Surely, Costa Rica couldn't fight back. Yet, they did. In the 54th minute, Joel Campbell became a Costa Rican hero by scoring they tying goal. Just three minutes later defender Oscar Duarte became another Costa Rican hero by scoring the go-ahead and game winning goal. Just to make sure that a Costa Rican Avengers team is in the formation, Marcos Urena made it 3-1. The shocks just keep on happening. Viva Los Ticos!!!
