Qatar came out trying to have a better showing as hosts of the World Cup. The reigning African Champions Senegal had other plans. Goals from Boulaye Dia, Famara Diedhiou, and Bamba Dieng put the game out of reach by the end. Mohammed Muntari would score to bring the game to 2-1 for Senegal before Dieng would put the game out of reach. Some controversy earlier in the game when a clear foul in the box was not called by the referee. Qatar may feel hard done by not getting the chance for a spot kick, but you need to score in the run of play to win.
