When the Damsgaard Breaks or Lukaku at Belgium Winning the Group
Group C came to a close with Belgium winning over Finland and clinching first in the group. Finland began by gifting the top ranked team in the world a goal when the ball would go off of Lukas Hradecky for an own goal. Romelu Lukaku would put the game away in the 81st minute. Belgium look on to see who their opponents in the next round will be while Finland await their future. Denmark would come out swinging in their match after their horrendous start to the tournament. Mikkel Damsgaard would open the scoring in the 38th minute to give Belgium the lead. Yussuf Poulsen would double the score in the 59th minute. Russia would claw the game back to within one when Artem Dzyuba scored off of his penalty kick attempt. Andreas Christensen would put the lead back at two in the 79th minute, and Joakim Maehle would put the game past doubt in the 82nd minute. Russia find themselves heading home while Denmark look forward to a match they can win against Wales. Denmark’s strong performance won Fortuitous an amazing 72 points, while Praeceptor only came out with 13 points from Belgium
