Day 17 Wrap Up

44/51 through the Euros and we saw the final two teams drop out from the Round of 16. Eight teams remain hoping to win 3 matches and be crowned Champions of Europe. The opening match saw England host Germany. It was a cagey match that was deadlocked 0-0 until England's most dangerous player in this tournament Raheem Sterling scored in the 75th minute. Nine minutes later Harry Kane would strike to double their lead and give them a much needed win. The second match saw Sweden and Ukraine battle it out in Glasgow, Scotland. Ukraine would jump on the scoreboard first When Oleksandr Zinchenko scored in the 27th minute. Emil Forsberg would tie the game for Sweden in the 43rd minute. Both sides would fail to score in regulation sending the game into extra time. Marcus Danielsson would draw a straight red card in the 98th minute and drop Sweden to ten men. They would defend bravely until the very end, but Artem Dobryk would score in the first minute of stoppage time to seal the victory for Ukraine and move them into the quarterfinals against England. England's victory would give Historicus a 25 point boost. Sweden's poor performance gave Quaesitor 0 points. Ukraine's victory brought 39 points to IoannesNix.
