With 106 points (1^st overall) and 20 by way of the bonus (3^rd overall) Scriptor looks to win a second straight tournament. Essentially, it is everyone's task to dethrone him at the top. He is the Evil Empire. So it is no wonder that for this tournament, comparatively speaking, Scriptor is Russia. The former Soviet Union have had ten trips to the World Cup, finishing as high as 4^th back in 1966. They are also making their tenth European Championship appearance having won the first European Cup in 1960, coincidentally also hosted in France. In the modern era they finished 3^rd at the 2008 Euro Cup. Can this once powerful soccering nation return to antiquated form? Probably not, but this year's crew may be more despised for actually being Russian in the West than for their athletic ability. The 2015 edition of Russia squeaked into France by edging out Sweden by 2 points. They were an atrocious 8 points behind Austria.
