Coming Home when You're Already Home. Or Can a Sequel be Better than the First Film?

The dream run for the United Arab Emirates ended today, as we were all caught in the depths of a blizzard. After wins over Qatar and Bahrain, the Emirates bounced back from a loss to Iran by defeating the defending champions Japan 5 to 4 on penalty kicks. This set up a semifinal contest with the hosts Australia. Australia's run started out great with big wins over Kuwait and Oman before losing to South Korea 1:0. Though the pundits may have said that Australia's time in the tournament was over, they coolly put out a Chinese team that seemed to be on an upward ascent. Today say the Socceroos need only 14 minutes to put this game away. The winning goal came just 3 minutes into the game by way of central defender Trent Sainsbury. Just 11 minutes later, left back Jason Davidson would put the game away. United Arab Emirates will now face off against Iraq for third place on Friday. Australia will get another chance at the only team to beat them in this cup as they face South Korea on Saturday.

Just 6 points separate the top 3 competitors, but could bonus bonanza points go up? Maybe, if you're lucky.
